GaitScan

This diagnostic tool has been specifically engineered to assist you with the assessment and diagnosis of your patient’s foot biomechanics.  The TOG GaitScan system measures the distribution of force throughout a patient’s foot during each step, identifying high-pressure areas and gait abnormalities. Our system is equipped with enough sensors and speed to accurately graph pressures exerted during the stance phase of the gait cycle during both walking and running. This new information, along with your 3D sub-talar neutral cast will allow you to provide your patients with the most complete assessment possible for custom made orthotics.

Technical Specifications

The TOG GaitScan™ System is a revolutionary diagnostic tool for assessing foot function and resultant compensatory lower limb biomechanics. TOG GaitScan™ has an industry high 4096 sensors, scanning at 300Hz (scans per second) and is only 13mm thick making it extremely portable.

It runs off the computer's battery (when the computer is not plugged in) allowing scanning even when no power source is available. TOG Gaitscan measures the forces acting through the foot as it hits the ground and highlights how the foot and lower limb compensates for poor foot mechanics.

These compensatory changes are responsible for a myriad of medical problems from foot and heel pain to chronic low back pain, and identifying the foot’s role is the first step in treating effectively.

With TOG GaitScan™ you can take your practice to new level as it combines clinical skills and experience with advanced technology. In just seconds, the GaitScan™ system generates quantifiable static and dynamic measurements, providing comprehensive data and allows on-site reporting, providing the patient with a tangible explanation of what is happening every time they take a step.
